Dog Wash and Bake Sale
Date: Saturday, September 11, 2010	Time:1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Place: At the Shelter, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666
Treat your favorite dog(s) to a refreshing bath and a nail trim. This is a great way to get your pooch bathed and smelling sweet and benefit our shelter dogs at the same time. Prices for bath are based on the dog's weight ($10 - $30). Nail trim is $5.00. Each dog will receive a bandana and a treat. Each dog will also receive a number when the bath or trim is paid for and will be serviced in that order. Refreshments can be purchased at our bake sale and logo merchandise (i-shirts, magnets etc. will be available for purchase. Please join us for a fun afternoon!

Place: VCA James River Animal Hospital, 9804 Warwick Blvd., Newport News
Professional portraits of your dog(s) and/or your dog and family member can be arranged by calling 595-5505 to make an appointment.

All sitting fees will be donated to Animal Aid.

Silent Auction

Date: Saturday, October 23, 2010 Time: 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

Place: St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 99 East Mercury Blvd., Hampton, VA 23669-2970
Animal Aid is now accepting items at the shelter for our Silent Auction. We are looking for new or gently used items of just about anything that can be carried in and carried out. Suggestions are jewelry, crafts, accessories, home decor items, pet items, ceramics, holiday deco, gift baskets, art works, gift cards from businesses, etc.
We will also have a bake sale and logo merchandise will also be for sale. Please join us for this important fundraiser for the shelter, it's a fun event.

Items may be brought to the shelter (80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666) any day between 9 a.m.and noon. Thank you in advance for helping with this important fundraiser for the dogs at the shelter.

What is a Silent Auction?
It is an auction where each person has a number and writes their bid on a sheet of paper
placed beside the item. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder wins the item.
The auction is "silent" as there is no auctioneer.

Saturdays

Date: Most Saturdays Time: 12 noon to 4 p.m.

PetsMart - Jefferson Ave., N.N.
Walmart - Victory Blvd.
Care-a-Lot - Oyster Point N.N.
PetCo, Hampton
We are at the above locations whenever possible on Saturdays, with one or two of our dogs who are looking for special homes. You could also become a volunteer at the same time! New volunteers are always welcome. We also welcome community groups (adults or children) i.e. scouts, school groups, church groups; who are looking for a project.
