I'm a happy young boy who is more like the Energizer Bunny! It's so much fun being around people although someone said the
words "obedience training", but that should be fun, too. Not much is known about my past, but I do need work on some basic
household etiquette. All dogs want to please their special someone, so once I understand what I need to do, we will share
many great times together. And just look at what an adorable package you are getting!!

Some very nice people found me and saw that I had needed to see a vet for some first aid work. I'm a very sweet boy who would like

My brother, Eddie, thought we should try finding new homes through another shelter, and we're very happy to be
here now. What we really need are some great families to take us home, so we can begin the next chapters in
our lives. Hounds are loyal, fun, low maintenance on grooming, and very attractive! Think I ought

Tristan came to us from another shelter. He has a very bad right rear leg that he hardly uses. The hunt club he originally
belonged to did not have enough money to pay for corrective procedures. Tristan will be seeing an orthopedic specialist
to determine the best course of treatment. He is very sweet and gets along with other dogs very well.
Update: Tristan is making excellent progress after his surgery, and is using his leg a little more each day.

I may have lost my "Home Sweet Home", but I know a new one is out there waiting for me. Just look at these photos - my tail
can't stop wagging, so that should tell you a lot about my personality! Beagles are one of America's favorite breeds! Who can
blame them when there is so much to love and low maintenance grooming. Unlike my famous namesake I don't sleep on top
of dog houses, but am ready to take my special place inside your house and heart. I'll definitely keep you entertained!
I am best suited for a home with older children or would make a wonderful companion to adults who are "empty nesters!"

Unique Needs Dogs
Stella and her sister Shandy were rescued from a situation where the owner had many dogs
that could not be cared for properly. They both had a problem with trust and socializing as they had been without
human contact for most of their short lives and were very dependant on each other. They are slowly learning
how to play and do fun things that all dogs enjoy. They need a patient family who will help them adjust to
new situations and bring out their true personalities.
Shandy has been adopted and is doing very well.
Stella is being cared for in a foster home with her trainer to prepare her for adoption. If you are interested in

Before my friends at AAS rescued me, I had a life being with many many dogs and was given very little human contact. As a result, I am well socialized with other dogs, but very shy with people. I'm in a foster home now where I am learning to trust people and am practicing good "house etiquette." My inner dog/puppy is coming out slowly and is best seen during walks and runs and cuddling time! I'm learning to be a happy tail wagging dog and everyday I feel happier to be me! I need a forever home with a human(s)I can trust and
fall in love with that will continue to help me find my confidence and inner dog. I'm full of potential; I just need a forever family to complete my transformation.

Unique Needs Dog Every dog gives unconditional love, but sometimes it's not what their owner wanted after all.

Unique Needs Dog I love going for walks but have to limit my treat intakes to stay in great shape. Strangers and
scary situations tend to make me feel nervous and as a result, I can become defensive. A quiet home with a stable
environment would make me feel safe and bring out the happy boy inside me. Once you get to know me, we can be
great friends! All I need is another chance to show what a wonderful companion I can be.
